General Policies
- Upon moving in complete Room Condition Form and Roommate Agreement.
- Keep the room clean and tidy and free of any damages to avoid charges.
- Be responsible when using laundry facilities, do not leave your clothes in the washing machine or the dryer or they will be removed. ResLife is not responsible for stolen items.
- If you are locked out, go to front desk and if nobody is there, call RA on duty. If key is lost, the fine is $75.
- If you need a room change, contact building coordinator.
- Any student under the age of 21 is prohibited from being in the presence of alcohol at any time. If a student is under the age of 21 and in a space where alcohol is present, all students present are in violation of the student code of conduct (regardless of age). Students over 21 cannot have their alcohol in common areas. For those above 21, only 6 pack, or a traditional wine bottle size is acceptable per room.
- Trash from individuals should be disposed of in approved trash rooms or dumpsters, not common trash cans.
- Emotional Support Animals must be approved prior to arrival on campus.
- Guests cannot stay for longer than 3 days, since it is considered as cohabitation.
Courtesy Hours
Courtesy hours are in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week, both inside and outside of the residence halls.Β
Quiet Hours
Designated quiet hours are as follows:
Friday – Saturday: 12:00am – 10:00am
Sunday – Thursday: 11:00pm – 9:00am
Appliances
Appliances and items that are not allowed in Residential Buildings are as follows:
- Candles
- Candle warmers or scented wax warmers
- Incense and incense burners
- Fog, haze or smoke generating machines
- Personal heaters, including heat lamps used for animal habitats
- Live Christmas or holiday decoration trees
- Flammable substances or fuels (butane, paraffin, or propane, for example)
- Fireworks or any other explosive or incendiary devices
- Extension Cords or multi-outlet plugs without surge protectors. Surge protectors with long built-in cords are allowed, but may not be daisy-chained.
- Appliances designed for the cooking or heating of food through heating liquid or steam or through the use of an electric, induction, or combustion heating element such as (but not limited to) rice cookers, air fryers, hot pots, InstantPots, hot plates, induction cooktops, immersion circulators, or countertop stoves
- Appliances designed for the cooking or heating of food through direct contact with a heated surface such as (but not limited to) βGeorge Foremanβ style contact-grills, electric griddles, panini presses, quesadilla makers, and waffle irons.
- Appliances designed for the cooking or heating of food through convection or heated air toasting via an exposed heating coil such as (but not limited to) toasters, toaster ovens, pizza ovens, and portable ovens.
